Day 18: June 26, 2013 - Lazy, Primping, and the Girl with Personal Space Issues
Today was a really chill day. We had some drama with a girl in our flat last night so we were up pretty late... So Kasee woke me up at 9:58 and said um don't you have class at 10:00? So I rocked the pjs in myths! I came upstairs and had a muffin and hung out, procrastinated my homework as usual. I went to legacies and Cassidy's presentation was so much better than mine! What the crap?! Oh well I'm just glad it's over. The group thing today was the London Museum but I didn't want to go so I just hung out. I watched The Proposal and painted my nails, plucked my eyebrows, curled my hair, it was a day of primping haha I watched The Killers which isn't very good but whatever. I had bread and cheese and Dr. P for lunch. I pretty much just watched movies and chilled all day. It was nice to just relax and stuff. I did however write two papers! So yay! Everyone came home from the museum and quickly ate then we went to the Globe for our last show, The Tempest. We tried to trade in our tickets because we didn't want to stand but the line was too long and it would have been probably pretty expensive so we stood just like everyone else. We went to the gift shop and I got this little book that has excerpts from all of Shakespeare's plays. I thought it was really cool and cute. I have never read it or seen it so I had no idea what was going on the whole time. Plus I had a huge distraction right next to me - this girl that didn't speak English apparently wanted to see better so she kept rubbing up against me and getting all up on me. She had really bad BO and was a really heavy breather and just super all up in my business. I seriously couldn't concentrate on anything else but her annoyingness. Sam kept looking at me and would just start laughing because I had the look of death on my face. At one point I was literally turned sideways because she was leaning over me so much but I didn't want to smell her... Apparently she kept touching Brandon's butt as well haha whatever, I'm sure she is a nice girl but goodness put on some deodorant. During intermission, I moved over by Jena to get away from her even though I couldn't see very well - worth it. Out of the three plays we saw at The Globe (which were really all amazing), Taming was definitely my favorite, then Midsummer, then Tempest. It was so fun to visit The Globe and see his amazing works. We came home and I ate some more bread and cheese - my bread was going to go back this weekend. We packed and danced to Irish music. I got ready for bee, facetimed my momma, wrote this, I'm going to FaceTime my papa and go to bed. Night! Hope you had a great day! Loves!

Day 17: June 25, 2013 - the Tate Modern and Monsters University
Today was a pretty chill, fun day. I woke up at 9:00, showered and got ready while watching Ratatouille (I still haven't finished it yet, don't judge!) I went to myths and worked on my presentation for Nate's class the whole time. I came upstairs and I felt pretty good about my presentation so I listened to some church hymns and worked on pictures. I was having a really hard time but the hymns helped. My presentation went ok, I started out rocky at first but I got the hang of it and it turned out pretty well. I'm glad Nate had a lot to say and helped me out a bit. I came upstairs and made some pasta and had some bread and cheese. We then met downstairs to go to the Tate Modern Museum. I'm not a big fan of modern art but I felt that I would just dote on my homesickness if I stayed home. I also didn't want to do homework so what the heck? It actually turned out to be really weird. I don't understand how some of that stuff is considered art. I mean I could make that and I'm an awful artist.
We left and went to Waitrose. I got Dr. P and some baggets - yum! Then we just had a very chill night. A lot of people aren't feeling well and I'm pretty sure I'm dehydrated so I have a headache. I took a little nap on the couch and then Shelby massaged my head while we watched a pirated version of Monsters University haha don't tell. It was really cute! Then we all just chilled, ate candy, talked. I started some papers but then got bored and didn't want to do them. I blogged instead. I'm going to go to bed soon to try to shake off this headache so goodnight! Hope everyone is doing well and isn't missing me too much :P love you!

Day 16: June 24, 2013 - Bonjour France!
Today was a hard day. I got to sleep in until around 10:00, showered, got ready, then packed. We met downstairs in the lobby and waited for everyone. We then walked to the Metro with all of our bags and bought tickets. Some of the tickets didn't work when we went through. I had pushed my bag through and it wouldn't let me through, it blocked me. It happened to a few other girls as well. Rick got super pissed and yelled at us which I found ridiculous but whatever, moving on. We got to the train station and checked in and went though security. Our train didn't leave until 2:40 so we all just chilled. I got a coke and I felt bad because Sam was really sick, I hope I don't get sick... We got on the train and I slept most of the time. Cassidy was working on her presentation for Nate's class so I said I think mine is on the 29th. She said the 29th is a Saturday... So we asked Nate and he was like oh well I guess it's tomorrow! Really?! Whatever. We got to London and were all so happy to be back in this wonderful place. I unpacked and while I was doing so, I spilt a whole cup of water all over my stuff so that was fun. Jena, Anna, and Tayler were super cute and made us all dinner - homemade Mac and Cheese and bread, it was super yummy and really cute of them. I went downstairs and did laundry and worked on my presentation. I finished up and uploaded pictures. I started to get really homesick for the first time which sucked. I don't know it was just a hard day. Sorry for the pity party. But hey, things will get better and I'm still in freaking London so I just need to get over it. Love you! Hope you had a fantabulous day!
Day 15: June 23, 2013 - One of the Happiest Places on Earth!
Today was SO much fun! We went to Disneyland Paris! Shelby and I were supposed to wake up at 7:00 but the alarm either didn't go off or I ignored it. So we had kind of a late start. We met up with Kasee and Cassidy and headed towards the metro. We started the wrong way but found the right way quickly enough. We grabbed breakfast at McDonalds, once again, don't judge me. Then got on the train! We had to do a few transfers but we totally rocked it! We got to Disneyland around 11:00 or so. We paid for our tickets and went in! It's so cute! It has the same atmosphere as the California one but just a different look.
We first went to Frontierland and rode on the Haunted Mansion or the Phantom Manor. It was fun, much darker then the one in California but still had a few similarities.
We headed over to Indiana but it turned out to be closed so we were going to try back again later. We went on pirates! They have such cool in-depth detail - they had the face in the rock like in Peter Pan and like a huge pirate ship docked on a sandy beach. Pirates was essentially the same except in a different order, also no Jack Sparrow or anything from the movie for that matter.
We then headed over to Main Street and got some muffins and treats from a bakery. We went to Space Mountain and stood in line for a while. Ok Space Mountain was amazing! It was an actual roller coaster like Screamin' in California but it was all in the dark and it was so fast. We went upside down and corkscrews and it was just awesome. We got off and we were all just blown away, we were not expecting that and it was so fun.
We walked through a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea thing which was kinda lame but ok. We took pictures by the castle, we found a great spot to take pictures with like no crowds walking though and stuff.
We headed over to the Walt Disney Studios Park.
We stood in like for Tower of Terror - I was going to go on it because I didn't want to be alone but it ended up closing down so yay! Haha I didn't have to go!
We stood in like a 30 minute line for a Studios Tour. Really it was just a huge tram that drove you around a parking lot haha the only cool part was when they took us to a special effects lot and they simulated an earthquake, fire, a huge water flood that went over our heads. It was cool. The rest of that "ride" was lame.
We got something to eat - I got some chicken nuggets and a drink. We started to stand in line for Crushes Coaster but it was too long so we left and went over to the Rockin' Rollercoaster. It was themed like And they had really cool signed guitars and records and stuff in the line. We got on and once again were surprised! It was crazy fast! The only thing we didn't like was there was no music - they had been having problems so boo!
After that, I wasn't feeling too hot so while the girls went on Tower of Terror, I did a little shopping - got a Ratatouille hat that says Bon Apetite! For anyone who has ever been to Disneyland with me, this makes perfect sense! I started to get a little homesick because I was alone and in Disneyland which is a major thing in my family so it was a little hard but I got over it haha
We met back up and headed back over to Disneyland. We went over to Indiana Jones. Turns out its just a Rollercoaster (and a crappy one), it had nothing to do with Indiana Jones. The one in California is so much better!
We then went to Thunder Mountain. it was essentially the same thing as the one in California but the mountain was actually in the middle of the lake so we went underwater on the train which was way cool!
We headed over to Fantasyland and did the teacups which are always awesome!
Then we walked through the Alice in Wonderland maze! It wasn't a ride, it was a maze you walked through and they had fun little things to play on and the queen would pop out. It was really cute. Fantasyland was much bigger and it looked like they focused most of their efforts on that area.
We went on Small World. It was smaller and yet it had more countries in it which I found funny. The music was less annoying in French haha on that subject, most of the workers spoke English and most of the rides would alternate between French and English so that was nice. I realized as we were getting off Small World that I had dropped my water bottle and I'm pretty sure it's somewhere on Small World... I'm pissed! Haha
After that, we went to Mainstreet and did some shopping, I got a sandwich. We then just chilled and waited for the firework show.
It started right at 11:00 when the park closed. It focused a lot on Peter Pan and his shadow. They projected everything on the castle and water like in World of Color and had fireworks. It was so cute! They had a lot of French movies like Ratatouille and Hunchback. I liked how they had a lot of lesser-known characters like Fox and the Hound and stuff. The show was so fun, definitely up there with World of Color. Afterward I led the way out of the park while everyone else held onto my backpack so we didn't lose anyone haha we got to the train and Kasee put her backpack in the front and zipped her jacket over it so it looked like she was carrying a very lumpy baby haha we got on the train and got all the way home! I was nervous the trains were going to stop but they didn't which I'm very grateful for! Our hotel is really nice but it is on a very sketchy road just outside of Paris. So walking from the Metro to the hotel at 1:00 in the morning was one of the scariest moments ever! But hey we made it!
It was such a fun day, definitely the highlight of my trip so far! I'm so glad we got to go! Love you all! Have a great night!
